LSU head coach Lane Kiffin has publicly criticized a potential SEC policy change that would force athletes transferring between conference schools to sit out for one season. Kiffin argued that such a restriction would unfairly limit player opportunities and drive talent toward competing leagues.
SEC university presidents are slated to discuss this proposal during an upcoming meeting. The coach highlighted that he and his roster have benefited from the current transfer environment, noting that several players joined his program from other SEC teams without facing a mandatory waiting period.
These include Princewill Umanmielen, TJ Dottery, Winston Watkins Jr., Eugene Wilson III, Jordan Ross, William Satterwhite, Malik Blocton, and Scott Starzyk.
