Sacramento Kings center Maxime Raynaud will miss at least the next two weeks after sustaining a right knee injury during the team’s 111-106 preseason loss to the Golden State Warriors. The injury, diagnosed as a partial kneecap dislocation (patellar subluxation), occurred when Raynaud went down while setting a screen for Darius Acuff Jr.
against Steph Curry in the second quarter. An MRI confirmed no serious ligament damage, and Kings general manager Scott Perry indicated Raynaud is expected to return, though he will miss the start of the 2026-27 regular season, including the Kings’ season opener against the Clippers on October 21 and their home opener against the Portland Trail Blazers on October 23.
The injury opens up playing opportunities for teammates like Dylan Cardwell and Precious Achiuwa, with Raynaud’s return scheduled for reevaluation on October 25.
