Alabama’s season took a hit after a 20-17 loss to Georgia, their first defeat of the year, and now the Crimson Tide face another setback ahead of their upcoming matchup with Tennessee. Head coach Kalen DeBoer announced that star wide receiver Ryan Coleman-Williams will miss Saturday’s game due to multiple injuries sustained in recent weeks, including two separate incidents during the Georgia game.
DeBoer noted Coleman-Williams had been pushing through lingering issues, but the cumulative wear required him to sit out. The news comes as Alabama also ruled out five other players—linebackers Desmond Umeozulu and Cayden Jones, defensive back Nick Sherman, and defensive linemen Jeremiah Beaman and Terrance Green—leaving the team with a depleted roster for a critical SEC showdown.
