The NFL has finalized a one-game suspension for San Francisco 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw following his ejection during Sunday’s matchup against the Seattle Seahawks. Greenlaw was penalized for delivering a head butt to Seahawks linebacker Ernest Jones IV in the second quarter, an incident that occurred while Greenlaw was still wearing his helmet.
This marks the third time since 2022 that Greenlaw has been ejected from a game, adding to his disciplinary record in the league. The suspension will cost him $136,388 in base salary for Monday night’s game against the Washington Commanders, along with a $23,529 active roster bonus.
Additionally, Greenlaw’s lost playing time could impact a $750,000 incentive tied to 75% participation, which doubles if the 49ers reach the playoffs. The team may also pursue partial repayment of his $2.5 million signing bonus due to the missed game.
