Is £70m Baleba ready for his Man Utd exam?

Manchester United is preparing for a major test as they await the debut of their expensive summer acquisition, Carlos Baleba. The midfielder joined from Brighton for a hefty seventy million pounds, though an ankle knock has delayed his introduction to the side.

United currently sits twelfth in the standings after a difficult start under the guidance of Michael Carrick, putting extra scrutiny on the newcomer ahead of an upcoming home fixture at Old Trafford and a tough stretch of fixtures on the road against Atletico Madrid, Como, and Leeds. Off the pitch, Baleba is steadily adapting to his new surroundings, overcoming initial shyness and forming friendships with teammates like Amad Diallo while building on past connections with figures such as Leny Yoro, Bryan Mbeumo, and Patrick Dorgu.
