Iraola's early impact: Big calls, foundations to thrill – and lift-off vs Man City?

Andoni Iraola has kept Liverpool unbeaten in his first games, guiding the side to three consecutive Premier League clean sheets. His willingness to make bold lineup changes was highlighted by the omission of Jeremie Frimpong and Ryan Gravenberch, while Ronald Araujo was deployed at right‑back and the young duo Lewis Koumas and Trey Nyoni were given minutes up front.

The Sky Sports podcast previewed Liverpool’s upcoming clash with Manchester City on Sunday 11 October, with a 4:00 pm start and a 4:30 pm kick‑off, suggesting the fixture could be a pivotal moment early in Iraola’s tenure.
