IPL auction returns to India, Goa to host 2027 edition in December

After three consecutive years held across international locations in the Middle East, the Board of Control for Cricket in India has confirmed that the upcoming Indian Premier League player bidding event will take place within the country later this year. According to official statements, the coastal state of Goa has been selected to stage the proceedings in December for the 2027 tournament.

Meanwhile, several major player movements and staff appointments have occurred across various franchises. Rishabh Pant has headed back to the Delhi Capitals, whereas Kuldeep Yadav transitioned to the Lucknow Super Giants.

Additionally, Zaheer Khan took over as the head coach for the Chennai Super Kings, Zubin Bharucha joined the Mumbai Indians as performance director, and Ajinkya announced his retirement.
