Hubert Hurkacz becomes fourth man in history to achieve rare Big Three feat after beating Novak Djokovic in Shanghai

Hubert Hurkacz secured a straight-sets victory over Novak Djokovic at the Shanghai Masters, winning 6-4, 6-3. This result makes Hurkacz the fourth player to defeat Roger Federer on grass, Rafael Nadal on clay, and Djokovic on hard courts, joining Andy Murray, Alexander Zverev, and Dominic Thiem in that achievement.

The loss represents Djokovic's earliest exit from the tournament in his career.

Djokovic, who recently completed a 21-season streak of winning at least one ATP title annually, now faces increased pressure in his attempt to qualify for the ATP Finals in Turin. He currently holds the eighth position in the standings, but his lead over Alex de Minaur has narrowed significantly.

Other competitors including Rafael Jodar, Taylor Fritz, and Jakub Mensik remain in contention for the final qualifying spot.
