The Vancouver Canucks struggled to maintain their early road success from last season, finishing with a disappointing 16–22–3 record on the road in 2025–26—the second-worst mark in the NHL, ahead of only the Blackhawks, Kraken, Maple Leafs, and Flames. Their 35 points tied them with the Florida Panthers for 29th in the league, while their .8774% save percentage ranked 29th, trailing only three teams.
Despite allowing the most goals on the road (156), the Canucks offset some of that with 110 goals scored, ranking 27th in goals-for and improving their goal differential to -46. Their power play became a bright spot late in the season, finishing at 24% effectiveness—among the top seven in the league—after a strong post-Olympic break.
Individually, Brock Boeser and Jake DeBrusk led the team with 13 road goals each, while Filip Hronek topped the club in assists (22) and ice time (1,015:55 minutes). The Canucks now begin their 2026–27 season with a six-game road trip, starting against the Carolina Hurricanes on October 8, followed by back-to-back New York matchups against the Devils and Rangers before closing with games against the Islanders, Panthers, and Lightning.
