Hibs appoint Dutchman Reedijk as new manager

Marink Reedijk has taken over as the new manager of Hibernian following the dismissal of David Gray roughly a week prior. The thirty-five-year-old Dutch coach arrives at Easter Road after spending the previous two seasons at Beveren, where he achieved promotion into the Belgian top division following an undefeated campaign.

Hibs currently sit tenth in the Scottish Premiership standings after managing just two victories through their opening seven fixtures, alongside a disappointing exit from the Conference League.

Assisted by Rogier Molhoek, Reedijk inherits a squad that finished third during the 2024-25 campaign and fifth last term under his predecessor. Sporting director Malky Mackay expressed confidence that the newly appointed boss aligns with the club's ongoing strategic vision, citing his reputation for proactive, dynamic, and high-energy football.

Reedijk previously held academy coaching positions at Ajax and West Bromwich Albion, as well as roles with senior sides including Vitesse, KSV Roeselare, and RSCA Futures.
