Hibs appoint 34-year-old Reedijk as new boss

Hibernian has named Marink Reedijk as their new head coach following the dismissal of David Gray earlier in the month. The thirty-four-year-old tactician joins the Scottish club after guiding SK Beveren to an undefeated championship campaign in the second tier of Belgian football.

Reedijk previously held youth development roles with Ajax and West Bromwich Albion. Sporting director Malky Mackay and executive chairman Ian Gordon both praised the incoming manager's proactive philosophy and leadership qualities during the recruitment process.

Reedijk will immediately accompany the squad to a training camp in La Manga ahead of his debut fixture against Dundee United on October 10. The team currently sits tenth in the Scottish Premiership standings after securing only two victories through their opening seven league fixtures.

During his introductory remarks, Reedijk outlined his desire to implement an energetic and aggressive playing style while building upon the existing potential within the roster.
