Jo Adell and José Ramírez sparked Cleveland’s offense, each delivering a two‑out triple that helped the Guardians stave off a sweep with a 9‑3 win in Game 3 of the AL Division Series. Adell’s three‑run triple in the third inning gave Cleveland a 4‑1 edge, while Ramirez’s triple in the eighth pushed the lead to 7‑3.
The club recorded two triples in a postseason game for the first time in its history, a feat not seen since the Dodgers did it in the 2024 World Series opener.
The White Sox were limited to two hits with runners in scoring position and struck out 19 times, despite an early RBI double by Kyle Teel. Foster Griffin set a franchise record for a reliever with seven strikeouts in 2 2/3 innings, and the Guardians’ bullpen held Chicago to three runs.
Cleveland’s next starter will be Parker Messick in Game 4.
