Giants will release Odell Beckham Jr.

New York is parting ways with wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. following a minimal role on the field during the opening three weeks of the season.

The veteran wideout logged eleven snaps without a target in the first week, three snaps and zero targets in the second week, and six snaps with one target and zero receptions in the third week.

After surviving the initial roster cuts from ninety players down to fifty-three, the pass-catcher saw almost no playing time. The franchise might be signaling his impending departure in hopes of securing a trade partner, potentially bringing in a conditional late-round draft pick from interested organizations like San Francisco or Los Angeles before he hits the open market.
