The New York franchise has opted to sever ties with wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. following a brief reunion.
After securing a spot on the active roster through a productive training camp and preseason, the seasoned pass-catcher saw minimal playing time during the initial three contests of the campaign, failing to secure a single reception while appearing on a tiny fraction of offensive plays. Skipper John Harbaugh had hinted at expanding the athlete's workload during the recent matchup against the Titans, yet those plans failed to materialize.
The abrupt departure clears a spot on the 53-man squad for return specialist Braxton Berrios after he exhausted his practice squad availability. During his tenure with the organization, the former top draft choice accumulated 390 receptions, 5,476 receiving yards, and 44 scores.
