Giants QB Jaxson Dart will reportedly have knee surgery, ending his 2026 season

Following a difficult Week 2 matchup on Monday Night Football, the New York Giants are facing a severe setback with quarterback Jaxson Dart. During the game against the Los Angeles Rams, which ended in a 28-6 defeat, the second-year signal-caller sustained a left knee injury during the opening drive.

Although initial medical evaluations suggested a manageable recovery period from an MCL sprain, subsequent magnetic resonance imaging revealed a far more complicated situation.

Diagnostic results following the Tuesday examination indicate that the injury is much worse than anticipated. The franchise is now preparing for the strong possibility that the quarterback will require surgical intervention, which would rule him out for the entirety of the 2026 campaign.
