The Georgia Bulldogs will look to extend their recent momentum over Alabama when they face the Crimson Tide on October 10 at Bryant-Denny Stadium. The last time Georgia won in Tuscaloosa was in 2007, a dramatic 26-23 overtime victory that saw quarterback Matthew Stafford connect with Mikey Henderson for a game-sealing touchdown.
Since then, Alabama has dominated the series in Tuscaloosa, including a 41-34 win in their most recent meeting there last September. However, Georgia holds the edge in the most recent overall matchup, defeating Alabama 28-7 in the 2025 SEC Championship Game, marking their first series win since that victory in Atlanta.
Despite Georgia’s recent success, Alabama leads the all-time series 45-27 with four ties. The Bulldogs’ largest victory over the Crimson Tide came in 1948 with a 35-0 shutout, while Alabama’s biggest win was a 36-0 triumph in 1923.
Georgia’s longest winning streak against Alabama lasted five games (1910–1916), while Alabama’s current streak of seven (2008–2021) ended when Georgia won the 2022 College Football Playoff National Championship in Indianapolis.
