From maligned to Red River Rivalry hero, how OU football's Tate Sandell found redemption

Following weeks of struggles and missed kicks, Oklahoma kicker Tate Sandell rebounded to lift the Sooners to a thrilling 27-24 victory over top-ranked Texas. Sandell redeemed an early miss by converting a 53-yard attempt and subsequently drilling a 47-yard game-winner with mere seconds remaining on the clock.

Teammate John Mateer praised the kicker's poise and preparation after the dramatic finish at Cotton Bowl Stadium. Brent Venables and Ben Arbuckle were also noted among the Sooners' redemption stories during the statement win.
