As the postseason takes center stage, baseball developments continue quietly around the league. Pitcher Jameson Taillon faces an upcoming elbow procedure next week, hoping an internal brace will suffice despite having undergone Tommy John surgery twice previously.

Set to enter free agency during the upcoming winter, Taillon is unlikely to command the eighteen million dollars he earned during the previous season. Meanwhile, general manager Ross Atkins addressed the media regarding organizational plans, noting that Ernie Clement lacks a secured hold on the second base position.

Additional priorities for the front office include formulating a development path for Vlad, acquiring impactful power hitters, and securing starting pitchers capable of making thirty starts annually.
