Ferrari team principal Fred Vasseur believes his squad squandered a chance to win the United States Grand Prix due to poor execution during the final qualifying session. Although the team dominated practice, Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton could only secure fourth and fifth on the grid after failing to maximize their potential in Q3.
Leclerc eventually crossed the line in second place behind race winner Andrea Kimi Antonelli, while Hamilton narrowly missed the podium behind Max Verstappen. Vasseur noted that the narrow operating window for tires and car setup makes even minor errors in preparation costly, as evidenced by the team's inability to replicate their earlier pace when it mattered most.
