Tennessee women’s tennis is welcoming back former Vol standout Pat Harper to its coaching staff, marking a homecoming for the 2021 NCAA doubles champion. Harper, who won a national title alongside Adam Walton and earned All-American honors in his final three seasons, returns to Knoxville after three years on the professional tour.
His collegiate career included a 96-38 doubles record and the 11th-most doubles victories in school history, giving him firsthand experience as both a player and a competitor at the highest level. Head coach Alison Ojeda praised Harper’s dual perspective, highlighting his ability to bridge the gap between college and professional tennis while reinforcing the program’s culture of excellence.
Harper expressed excitement about rejoining the Vols, emphasizing his connection to the program and eagerness to contribute to the team’s future success under Ojeda and assistant Martim Prata.
