FA Cup qualifying tie to be replayed after ref's error

Following a successful protest regarding a controversial first-half ruling in the FA Cup, a preliminary-round match has been overturned and must be played again. The initial fixture saw Mulbarton Wanderers secure a 2-1 victory over Woodford Town, but the home side challenged the outcome after the referee incorrectly awarded an indirect free-kick instead of ordering a retaken penalty following an infraction.

An appeals committee later identified this procedural error and scheduled a rematch. The replay will take place with Mulbarton acting as hosts, and the victors will advance to face Gloucester City.
