F1 urged to rethink sprint points system as calendar expands in 2027

Formula 1 is facing calls to completely revise its current points awarded for shorter races and adjust rules concerning wind tunnel and CFD testing limits. Broadcaster Will Buxton recently discussed these necessary adjustments on the Up To Speed program as the championship prepares to host ten shorter events during the upcoming campaign.

These special weekend formats are scheduled to take place at circuits in Bahrain, Australia, Japan, Canada, Monaco, Great Britain, Italy, Brazil, Qatar, and Abu Dhabi.
