Ex-UFC champ shares 'black-and-white' reality of Sean Strickland contract dispute

UFC middleweight champion **Sean Strickland** has intensified his public dispute with the promotion over his contract terms, taking to social media to voice frustration with his compensation. The controversy has drawn unexpected support from former rivals, including **Brendan Allen**, who publicly backed Strickland’s stance on fighter pay, calling it a necessary conversation.

Strickland’s criticism comes amid a stalled title defense against **Nassourdine Imavov**, originally scheduled for UFC 335, and speculation that he may consider a move to light heavyweight. Meanwhile, UFC president **Dana White** has dismissed Strickland’s recent callouts, including a challenge to **Jai Opetaia**, signaling growing tension between the champion and the organization.

The dispute has also sparked broader discussions about fighter earnings in an era where traditional pay-per-view revenue has diminished for UFC titleholders.
