Essex hit back after Lyth-Luxton century opening stand

Essex mounted a strong fightback against Yorkshire after Adam Lyth and William Luxton initially established a century partnership at the top of the order. Having won the toss and opted to take first strike on a pitch previously played on, Yorkshire seemed well-placed following the strong start from their openers. However, the batting side suffered a dramatic collapse, dropping five wickets for the addition of merely 18 runs to surrender their early advantage.
