Denver Barkey Injury Update: Flyers Forward Trending Towards Return

Philadelphia Flyers forward Denver Barkey is nearing a return to action after recovering from a pair of lower-body injuries sustained during the preseason. Having initially been hurt against the Washington Capitals, Barkey suffered a setback in a no-contact yellow jersey before finally graduating to a regular sweater during Sunday practice.

Head coach Rick Tocchet noted that the young skater could be inserted into the lineup during the team's upcoming three-match road trip, which commences Monday evening against Tampa Bay. Barkey recorded seventeen points across forty-three appearances during his debut professional campaign last year.
