Delaware Blue Coats hire Brad Jones as general manager

The Delaware Blue Coats have appointed Brad Jones as their new general manager, marking a key front-office shift ahead of the 2026-27 G League season. Jones, who previously worked in the NBA G League’s New York offices overseeing player contracts and league operations, was selected by Sixers President of Basketball Operations Mike Gansey and Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations Jameer Nelson.

His hiring follows Ariana Andonian’s departure to become the Los Angeles Sparks’ WNBA general manager. Jones brings extensive experience, having started his career with the Orlando Magic during Jameer Nelson’s playing days, before advancing through roles in video and player personnel.

The Blue Coats, Philadelphia 76ers’ G League affiliate, are poised to feature standout two-way players Caleb Love and Rayan Rupert, with potential additions like Tacko Fall and Saint Thomas expected as NBA teams finalize roster cuts. The team’s developmental pipeline has historically been vital, with players like Justin Edwards and Adem Bona previously earning NBA opportunities through Delaware.
