Deion Sanders can't escape growing criticism before facing No. 11 Utah

Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders faces mounting scrutiny ahead of Saturday’s showdown with the No. 11 Utah Utes, as his team’s recent struggles have intensified criticism from fans, analysts, and even former supporters.

The Buffaloes have lost three straight games, scoring just 27 points combined, while Sanders has drawn fire for a leaked playbook incident and defensive responses to questions about offensive adjustments, including his handling of running-back usage. Media appearances have only amplified the pressure, with ESPN analyst Jason Whitlock and other pundits questioning Sanders’ leadership and accountability, particularly after a contentious exchange with offensive coordinator Brennan Marion during the team’s first practice back from a bye week.

Meanwhile, internal tensions persist, as Marion’s hiring last December to overhaul Colorado’s offense has yet to yield results, leaving Sanders’ job security under renewed examination as the season progresses.
