Davante Adams injury update as Rams WR leaves after non-contact injury

The Los Angeles Rams faced a significant setback during their Week 6 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals when star wide receiver Davante Adams exited the game late in the fourth quarter after suffering a non-contact injury. The Rams’ special teams unit also suffered an early blow when newly acquired kicker Blake Grupe left the game in the first quarter after injuring his knee during a tackle on a kickoff return.

Grupe, signed to replace the recently waived Harrison Mevis, was immediately ruled doubtful to return, compounding the Rams’ ongoing struggles on special teams under head coach Sean McVay. The injury occurred just minutes into the game, further complicating an already challenging season for the Rams’ kicking situation.
