In a key AFC East matchup at Gillette Stadium, the New England Patriots secured a victory over the the Jets. With a one-score lead in the fourth quarter, coach Josh McDaniels utilized a run-heavy strategy to drain the clock.
This effort was led by undrafted 2025 running back Corey Kiner, who gained 42 yards and three first downs on eight consecutive carries, taking nearly four minutes off the game clock before the two-minute warning.
Kiner's success was supported by blocking from fellow undrafted 2025 receiver Efton Chism and waiver claim Cameron Latu, who had previously recorded a heavy hit on a kickoff return. The interior offensive line was also bolstered by Walter Rouse and Matt Pryor, who filled in for three missing starters.
