The Indianapolis Colts made key roster adjustments ahead of their Sunday showdown with the Pittsburgh Steelers, reshaping their depth chart at wide receiver and defensive end. Veteran wideout Darius Slayton, signed as a replacement for injured starter Alec Pierce, was ruled out with a knee injury, while Nick Westbrook-Ikhine earned a promotion from the practice squad to the active roster.
Westbrook-Ikhine has already contributed in two games this season, logging 12 offensive plays and covering 54% of the team’s special teams snaps. Meanwhile, the Colts placed starting defensive end Arden Key on injured reserve due to a hamstring issue, sidelining him for at least the next four weeks.
Jaylahn Tuimoloau will step into the starting role at defensive end, with rookie edge rushers Caden Curry and George Gumbs Jr. expected to see increased rotational opportunities behind him.
