Christian McCaffrey's TD run has 49ers up 13-3

The San Francisco 49ers have stormed out of the gate with a dominant offensive display, building a commanding 13-3 lead over Washington after just two touchdowns. Christian McCaffrey capped off an eight-play, 72-yard drive with a 1-yard touchdown run in the first quarter, extending the 49ers' early momentum.

Quarterback Brock Purdy orchestrated the drive, including a key 7-yard scramble on fourth down to keep the offense alive, while George Kittle contributed with an 11-yard touchdown reception to open the scoring. Purdy has already thrown for 114 yards and a touchdown, with Mike Evans adding 78 yards on two receptions.

Despite the strong start, the 49ers' kicker, Eddy Piñeiro, missed his third extra point of the season, continuing a trend of struggles on field goals over the past two campaigns.
