The Kansas City Chiefs’ cornerback, Chris Roland-Wallace, was ejected from Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers after throwing a punch during the fourth quarter. The altercation occurred after Chargers right tackle Alex Harkey knocked Roland-Wallace down post-play, leading to an on-field altercation that escalated into a disqualification.
Initially, officials called offsetting unsportsmanlike conduct penalties, but replay review confirmed Roland-Wallace’s punch, resulting in his removal from the game. Before the ejection, Roland-Wallace recorded four tackles and a tackle for loss, including an interception in the first half that was later nullified by a controversial roughing-the-passer call against the Chargers’ defense.
The Chiefs also lost right tackle Jaylon Moore for the remainder of the day after suffering a concussion, with Joshua Ezeudu stepping in to fill the role on the offensive line.
