The Chicago Bears' struggles with pass protection were on full display during their loss to the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field, with three sacks of quarterbacks Tyson Bagent and Case Keenum exposing critical vulnerabilities in the offensive line. Bagent, who started in place of the injured Caleb Williams, was targeted early in the game, including a first-quarter sack by Packers defensive end Devonte Wyatt that stemmed from a breakdown by center Garrett Bradbury, who overextended while attempting to block Wyatt.
The Bears' right side proved particularly porous, with Bagent also falling victim to a blitz by cornerback Brandon Cisse in the second quarter—a sack that could have been avoided if he had thrown the ball earlier to wideout Luther Burden III, who was wide open. Later, Keenum was sacked by Wyatt in the fourth quarter, leading to a recovered fumble that further compounded Chicago’s defensive woes.
The performance raised questions about the Bears’ ability to protect their quarterback in high-pressure situations, especially on the road against a formidable opponent like the Packers.
