Bills' Joe Brady threatens playing time 'consequences' for James Cook III over fumble issues

Buffalo Bills head coach Joe Brady issued a warning to running back James Cook III on Tuesday, stating that continued ball security lapses will result in reduced snaps. The threat follows a 37-34 overtime victory over the Los Angeles Rams in Week 5, during which Cook lost the football twice, including a critical fumble on the opening play of the extra period that nearly handed the win to Los Angeles.

Despite the turnovers, Cook has been a dominant force on the ground, averaging 106.4 yards per game across his first five appearances this season. His current struggles with fumbles bring his total for the year to four, a byproduct of his heavy workload that follows a previous campaign in which he captured the NFL rushing title with 1,621 yards.
