Razorbacks Snap SEC Skid Against Texas A&M

Arkansas (9-7, 1-4 SEC) returns to Barnhill Arena this weekend following a 3-1 victory (25-20, 25-17, 20-25, 25-22) over No. 12 Texas A&M on Sunday, 11 October 2026.

The win ended an 0-4 start to conference play that included road losses to Georgia (3-1) on 2 October and South Carolina (3-2) on 4 October, along with a 3-1 defeat to No. 9 Texas on 9 October.

In that match against Texas, the Longhorns won 22-25, 29-27, 25-20, 25-19 behind Ramsey Gary's career-high 33 digs and 29 kills from Torrey Stafford, who reached 1,500 collegiate career kills.

The triumph over the Aggies was the Razorbacks' first win against a ranked opponent since defeating No. 8 Kentucky in the Sweet 16 of the 2023 NCAA Tournament.

In front of an attendance of 3,261—the sixth-highest mark in program history—Arkansas held Texas A&M to a .075 hitting percentage and led in blocks 14-9. Parker Duncan paced the Razorbacks with 17 kills, 2 blocks, and 2 aces, surpassing 500 collegiate career kills.

Laci Bohannan had 11 kills, two errors, a .360 hitting percentage, and a career-high 6 blocks. Freshman setter Maggie McCarroll posted her second consecutive double-double with 34 assists and 12 digs, Aleki Alexander led the team with 8 blocks (1 solo, 7 assists), and Gaby Cornier posted a team-high 14 digs.

For Texas A&M, Kyndal Stowers posted 20 kills and 12 digs, while Gabi Rodriguez collected a career-high 21 digs.

Upcoming Ranked Homestand

Arkansas will continue its home schedule by welcoming two more top-10 conference rivals. The Razorbacks host No.

10 Tennessee on Friday, 16 October 2026, at 7 p.m. Tennessee brings a 12-3 overall record and a 3-2 mark in SEC play into Barnhill Arena, entering the match following consecutive 3-0 sweeps over Auburn, Ole Miss, and LSU.

Arkansas will then conclude the weekend at Barnhill Arena on Sunday, 18 October 2026, facing No. 4 Kentucky at 2 p.m. Both upcoming home matches will be streamed live on SEC Network+.
