Alexandra Eala returns to the WTA Tour following a 17-day break spent competing for the Philippines at the Asian Games. She faces a favorable path at the Wuhan Open, beginning with a qualifier in the opening round.

Should she advance, she may encounter Leylah Fernandez, followed by potential matchups against Jelena Ostapenko or Jessica Pegula. Further progression could see her face Karolina Muchova in the quarter-finals and Elina Svitolina in the semi-finals, both of whom she has defeated previously.

This appearance marks Eala's second main draw entry at the tournament, following a first-round exit against Katerina Siniakova in 2024.
