The New England Patriots' practice session on Wednesday saw several key players return or continue their recovery paths under restrictions. Wide receiver A.J.
Brown, sidelined for the past four games due to an ankle injury sustained in the season opener, resumed activity but remained limited in his first practice since his 21-day window opened. Meanwhile, the team’s defensive backfield also faced setbacks, with cornerback Christian Gonzalez—expected to play this Sunday—participating cautiously after a shoulder issue.
The Patriots also kept offensive tackle Will Campbell and running back TreVeyon Henderson active in practice, though both were officially listed as limited amid discussions about potential injured reserve placements for their respective knee and ankle injuries. Additional starters, including offensive tackle Marcus Bryant and safety Kevin Byard, were also restricted due to ongoing health concerns, while cornerbacks Carlton Davis and Karon Prunty did not participate at all.
Quarterback Drake Maye, meanwhile, continued to appear fully cleared on the injury report for the second consecutive week, marking steady progress in his recovery from a shoulder issue.
