5 questions facing the Lakers ahead of training camp

The Los Angeles Lakers are entering a brand new chapter as training camp opens this week, officially kicking off the Luka Doncic era following a joint press conference held by head coach JJ Redick and President of Basketball Operations Rob Pelinka. With LeBron James not returning, management reshaped the roster around Doncic by securing Austin Reaves and trading for Walker Kessler, aiming to build a younger squad featuring dynamic shot creation and defensive strength.

Key questions still surround the roster's depth and overall talent level as the team prepares for its upcoming preseason opener scheduled in Sacramento on October 5.
