Returning from a lower-back injury that derailed his international summer, young batter Abdullah Fazal delivered a massive statement by hammering an unbeaten triple century during domestic action. The 23-year-old compiled 309 runs from 339 balls, striking twenty-nine fours and eleven sixes, which pushed his career aggregate past the two-thousand-run threshold in first-class cricket.
Fazal found exceptional support at the crease from opening partner Hasan Raza, who contributed a double century of his own by scoring 222 runs off 221 deliveries. Together, the pair put on a massive 417-run stand for the first wicket, registering the third-highest opening partnership in the history of Pakistan's first-class game.
