Aaron Wiggins joins the Atlanta Hawks after being acquired in the offseason, bringing a blend of three‑point shooting and defensive versatility. In his final year with Oklahoma City, he attempted 4.2 threes per game and hit 36 percent from beyond the arc, giving Atlanta another perimeter threat alongside Jalen Johnson.
Wiggins demonstrated his scoring ceiling with a 41‑point outburst against Sacramento on Feb. 1, 2025, where he shot 16‑for‑30 and knocked down six triples.
Defensively, he is expected to guard multiple wing positions, use his active hands to disrupt passing lanes, and contribute to the Hawks’ emphasis on turning defense into offense under coach Quin Snyder. With the departures of Zaccharie Risacher and Jonathan Kuminga, Wiggins and fellow veteran Lu Dort will help fill the wing void, while his championship experience adds a winning mindset to a young roster.
He was seen handling the ball for Atlanta during a preseason game at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on Oct. 10, 2026.
