MMA veteran Scott Coker is returning to the promotion game with Ki MMA, a new venture set to launch its inaugural event in 2027. The initiative marks Coker’s first major business move since leaving Bellator, which was acquired by the PFL in 2023 and later merged with Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions.
With $60 million in backing, Ki MMA aims to disrupt the current MMA landscape, emphasizing fighter development and respect for athletes. The promotion will kick off with a 32-fighter featherweight tournament spanning North America, Europe, Asia, and South America, while also targeting established stars for high-profile bouts.
Coker, known for his pivotal role in Strikeforce and the rise of fighters like Ronda Rousey and Daniel Cormier, plans to scout for untapped talent globally, positioning Ki MMA as a long-term star-building project rooted in East Asian martial arts traditions.
