“Take a Break”; “Truly Crazy” – Fans Shocked as Aryna Sabalenka’s Title Drought Continues With Shock Wuhan Open Loss to Ann Li

Aryna Sabalenka continues to struggle with form, suffering an early defeat at the Wuhan Open against Ann Li. Despite the Belarusian saving nine match points during the three-set encounter, Li managed to secure the victory.

This loss marks the tenth consecutive tournament for Sabalenka without a title, extending a drought that began after her Miami Open win in March 2026. Following her recent exit at the China Open, fans have expressed concern regarding her performance and suggested she take a break for the remainder of the season.

Li noted the difficulty of the match, acknowledging that she had to maintain focus after missing several opportunities to close out the contest.
