"Not in the spirit of the game" - Shreevats Goswami slams Shamar Joseph's bowling against Arshdeep Singh

Shreevats Goswami recently criticized Shamar Joseph for deploying a barrage of short-pitched deliveries directed at Arshdeep Singh during the closing stages of the fourth T20 international. Goswami expressed strong disapproval on social media, suggesting the fast bowler intentionally targeted the tailender despite the match outcome already being settled.

The contest took place in Hyderabad, where the visitors triumphed to tie the bilateral series at two matches apiece ahead of the upcoming finale in Bengaluru.

During the final over of the chase, Arshdeep was struck on the body by a rising delivery before retiring from the crease due to discomfort. Joseph finished his spell having leaked substantial runs while struggling to find consistent control across his white-ball appearances on the Indian tour.

Both pace bowlers endured expensive outings overall as the home side finished their innings nine wickets down while attempting to chase down a massive target.
