'Not a catastrophe' - Carrick dismisses Man Utd job fears

Manchester United manager Michael Carrick has brushed aside speculation concerning his job security following back-to-back home disappointments ahead of Sunday's fixture against Fulham. Despite being jeered by home supporters and starting the campaign with just two wins across six matches against Ipswich and Sabah FK, the 45-year-old insists recent setbacks are far from a crisis.

Inside the club hierarchy, Carrick retains backing following an impressive stretch late last season when he guided the squad to 12 victories across 17 matches, with internal attention focused instead on player execution. Outside scrutiny has focused on squad construction, debts, and the background of his coaching staff, though veteran assistant Steve Holland remains by his side.
